Mr Mohan H L, CEO, KHPT, was in March appointed to two national advisory committees of the National Health Mission.  He joins an Expert Committee to reframe guidelines for the constitution of Mahila Arogya Samitis, which were envisioned to improve community participation in health in urban areas, guidelines  for which were created in 2014. The 18-member committee will look into examining the relevance of Mahila Arogya Samitis, the possibility of expanding the community structures involved in the National Urban Health Mission to include more stakeholders, and the rollout of Comprehensive Primary Health Care services through such platforms in urban areas.

Mr Mohan was also appointed to a 22-member National ASHA Mentoring Group which shall act as a Standing Technical Resource Group to assist the Central and State Governments in overall implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the ASHA scheme.
