Dr VK Paul, Member, Niti Ayog chaired a Workshop on addressing the Urban Health & Nutrition Challenges in India on 12th Dec in New Delhi. KHPT was one of the five NGOs across the country to share their experiences in different thematic areas on strengthening urban primary health care and nutrition.
Mr Mohan HL, Managing Trustee and Dr Swaroop N, Deputy Director – Quality Improvement, shared about KHPTs rich experience on strengthening continuum of care for non-communicable diseases through an Integrated Urban Health Systems Model in Mysuru, Karnataka.
As a follow up plan, Dr Vinod Paul, suggested that the Ministry works with the NGOs to create few models and formulate new guidelines in the area of primary health care to address the complex urban health situations for improving health outcomes among urban poor communities
