The Karnataka state departments of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (RDPR), and Health and Family Welfare have joined in partnership with KHPT for a first-of-its-kind initiative in the country to involve Gram Panchayats more proactively in addressing issues of public health.
The Sahita Careline (1800 532 4600) provides free-of-cost counselling services to former and current COVID-19 patients, helping them to tide over their crises and instilling faith and confidence in them to move ahead with their lives.
Dasra is supporting KHPT to engage the existing cadre of role model girls, their parents and frontline workers to mitigate the effects of the pandemic
KHPT is ensuring that over 1,40,00- eligible people receive the COVID-19 vaccination in two blocks of Koppal district in northern Karnataka.
This is the first time in India we are launching such a program. This will help the Gram Panchayats to fight Covid and non-communicable diseases. With this project, we aim at reaching out to the rural population with the right information and education on Covid-19 management to protect themselves. This is a very unique experiment that is launched in Karnataka, where we are distributing diagnostic kits to the Gram Panchayats.
