KHPT was awarded a grant under Round 10 of the Stop TB Partnership’s Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS) for a project titled JSV TB – Jille Samudhaya Vedike TB, which aims to strengthen the TB response with rights-based, people-centred approaches through community-led monitoring forums in three high-prevalence districts of Karnataka.

KHPT will collaborate with the state National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), and the  district NTEP of Bellary, Bagalkote and Belgaum to strengthen the TB response among people living with HIV, mining populations and the urban poor. The project aims to sensitize and engage the elected representatives of local self-governments (PRI) in TB awareness, stigma reduction and better linkages to services, schemes and support. JSV TB also aims to elicit information on the barriers and inequalities in the community for the development of  community-led monitoring forums. KHPT will also participate and engage in various TB advocacy and accountability initiatives at national, regional and global levels
