KHPT conducted a participatory workshop for Gram Panchayats members, health system staff and community from 4 to 7 November 2024 in Koppara and Amarapura Gram Panchayats of Raichuru and 10 to 12 December 2024 in Madhuvanahalli and Ramapura Grama Panchayats of Chamarajanagar districts. The workshop aimed to give participants an overview of the Arogya Sangama Project, share key findings from the formative research and baseline assessment conducted by KHPT, provide information about Department of Rural Development and Panchayat Rajs (DoRDPRs) vision for Gram Panchayat Task Forces (GPTFs), brainstorm, and collaboratively design activities to be included in the intervention package. The workshop was conducted as part of the Arogya Sangama Project activities and included interactive activities and sessions.
These workshops involved identifying the top issues faced by the community in their GPs. They also discussed members of the GPTFs, how to identify them, their involvement in various stages, the vision for success, linkages at multiple levels, and the driving forces and factors. The workshop provided participants with insights into the importance of GPTFs in understanding the pathway. It highlighted how strengthening or capacitating GPTFs can help solve the issues identified in the villages through convergence. The KHPT team facilitated the workshop.
