Dr Maithreyi Ravikumar, Strategic Lead for Adolescent Health, was invited to conduct a  Qualitative Analysis and Research Writing workshop for six researchers of the Kanaja research cell of Samvada, an NGO based in Bengaluru. Kanaja is Samvada’s youth-led research cell, through which creates and disseminates knowledge surrounding young people and the issues which affect them. 

The workshop, held between July 4-5, focused on providing a conceptual understanding of qualitative research, including its philosophies, methodologies, and analysis frameworks. Dr Ravikumar’s sessions also covered critical reading, qualitative data management, coding and thematic analysis, and reflexive writing practices. These learnings are expected to help researchers in their study of the career paths of female alumnae from the Baduku program at Samvada.
