Dr Satyanarayana Ramanaik, Adolescent Health Thematic Lead, KHPT, recently presented the strategies adopted by KHPT to prevent child marriages and reduce gender discrimination in rural Karnataka at a conference titled “What will it take to end gender-based violence? Rethinking pathways to preventing violence at scale”, co-hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the Ford Foundation, and Wellspring Philanthropic Fund and held between 6-8 November at Wilton Park, Sussex, England 

During his talk, Dr Satyanarayana emphasized how working in a small geography can pave the way for scaling up Gender-based Violence (GBV) prevention strategies to a larger scale. He also shared the importance of enabling the communities to prevent and address GBV within their geographies.
