The KHPT team presented six abstracts and participated in a community connect event at the Union World Conference on Lung Health 2024 , held from November 12 to 16 in Bali, Indonesia. The presentations highlighted a range of innovative approaches and research findings related to tuberculosis (TB), including the Phone A Friend helpline, the Grama Arogya Initiative, behaviour change strategies to reduce stigma and promote inclusive care, and empowerment programs for TB survivors.

In addition to these key initiatives, the KHPT team also shared successful strategies for enhancing treatment adherence and emphasised the importance of multisectoral collaboration in addressing TB. Further, the team highlighted the important role of women’s self-help groups in tackling gender inequalities in TB care. Presentations were made by Dr Rehana Begum, Dr Subramaniam Potty Rajaram, Mr Arin Kar, Ms Elizabeth Joy, Dr Chandravali Madan, and Ms Swetha Bajaj.
